What is there for us to hone and refine?

In a time of heightened awareness, our discernment is called to be switched on - steady and precise.

In a time of heightened caution, our care is called to be at the centre and guiding us.

In a time of heightened tensions, our presence is the gift we can bring to all that is moving in and around us.

It's not an easy thing to welcome all, yet stay clear and determined on track.

It’s not a smooth ride when acknowledging that there are so many aspects calling for our attention and care.

So, then… we pause and step back - not to disengage, but to widen our horizon of perceptibility.

So, then… we pause and step back - not to shy away, but to deepen into our relationship with all there is.

It’s one thing to be here and to welcome what's ours to tend to.

It's another to engage and work with the matter that arises - unexpected, unannounced, possibly taking us by surprise.

And in all of it… ensuring my centre, my roots…well anchored while buoyant and in motion.

Honing and refining calls us into a space we were unaware existed.

Honing and refining calls us while grappling with the subtle parts that are so delicate to trace.

Honing and refining calls us while being in suspense.

Honing and refining calls us while allowing the still point to take us to new shores.
