A practice to deepen our sensing capacities, leading to wiser and more aligned actions

This course is open for leaders, activists, and change-makers who are working at the forefront of societal transformation. Our wider ways of knowing are powerful tools for navigating the subtleties of complexity. Activating and applying them are critical for the times we live in. The practices of systemic constellation and systems sensing can help individuals and teams move through intense dynamics with greater ease, efficiency and alignment.

This Foundation Training is an introduction to our ‘wider ways of knowing’ by exploring systems sensing, systemic constellation and the importance of land and place in working on societal issues and complex challenges.

We work with essential key concepts, methods and practices for individuals and groups. It supports participants in expanding, deepening, and differentiating their perception skills. Much focus lies on engaging practically with various forms of knowledge through solo, small group and whole group exercises.

The 3.5-day training combines theoretical inputs and essential background information on these different aspects, small-group and whole-group exercises and practices, time for reflection and integration, and connecting with nature and the ‘more-than-human’.

You will gain an initial insight into the various practices and methods and their different forms of application as individuals and groups. We will cover aspects such as (both through content input and application):

  • Intro to the origins and practice of Systemic Constellations and Systems Sensing.

    • The power of representation.

    • The importance of intention and guiding questions.

    • The different phases - before, during, and after a practice.

    • What this practice can do and can’t do.

    • The difference between Systems Sensing and Systemic Constellations.

    • The aspects of time across generations.

  • The interrelated and intertwined dynamics between individual and collective layers of societal change.

  • The importance, wisdom and influence of land and place in relation to diverse issues and challenges.

  • The importance of personal practice and self-care as a basis for individual and collective transformative work.

  • Intro to four essential spheres of societal transformative work.

This training enables you to learn how to draw upon your ‘wider ways of knowing’ and use these capacities for informing your decisions and approach toward challenging and complex issues. We cover the essential underpinnings of this work and give you a hands-on experience of putting them into practice for organisational and societal issues, as well as collective transitions at large.

The training is open to anyone interested in societal issues and transformation—no prior knowledge is required.
