What is there for us to consider and take to heart?

There is so much more enabled and allowed when we breathe deeply, when we breathe with and through the intensity and the density of our times.

It's not an easy, pleasant or comfortable ride we are on - individually and collectively - no! Now we are in the shaking phase - accelerating, spinning and dismantling.

Breathing and staying close to our heart beats… oh my, what a seemingly easy yet so delicate challenge as we meet the fears, as we meet the sorrows, as we meet the rage.

If we truly want to go beyond, everything has to come to the surface, being uplifted and upheld.

So let's breathe through this dense and maybe almost suffocating experience.

So let's stay close to our bodies, let's stay close to our core - to enliven our soil, one breath at a time!

Dear friends and companions

It’s been a while since you last heard from us — and we’re excited to reconnect with you on this new moon. A lot has been happening and unravelling in the world – with all its density and intensities – and likewise, much has been happening behind the scenes at Collective Transitions. We would love to share what’s been unfolding and invite you to walk with us into this next chapter.

A fresh wave – exhaling and inhaling
Over the past months, a lot has been reshaped — a process of letting go, refining, and setting new directions. Our team is shaping anew, our website is currently being updated, our curriculum is being reimagined, and our course offerings are expanding to meet the needs of our time.

The focus of the foundation course - tapping into and expanding our wider ways of knowing - is one of the responses we see as critical for being buoyant, connected, oriented and permeable.

a practice to deepen our sensing capacities, leading to wiser and more aligned actions

This course is open for leaders, activists, and change-makers who are working at the forefront of societal transformation. Our wider ways of knowing are powerful tools for navigating the subtleties of complexity. Activating and applying them are critical for the times we live in. This foundational course is an introduction to our wider ways of knowing by exploring systems sensing, systemic constellation and the importance of land and place in working on societal issues. These practices can help individuals and teams move through intense dynamics with greater ease, efficiency and alignment.

The course takes place in Switzerland, Lützelflüh-Goldbach at the Community Waldhaus. A beautiful place surrounded by fields and forests, and a view of the Alps.

In-Person Training Advanced Course I - 2026/27

deepening, sharpening and applying our wider ways of knowing for societal transformation - in Switzerland

Join us for the upcoming year-long Advanced Course I, an in-depth training spanning four modules. It covers systems sensing and systemic constellation work, kincentric practices and working with land and place as important approaches for maturing our “wider ways of knowing”. This spectrum of abilities and capacities we have found to be key when wanting to approach eco-social transformation from a deeper, more embodied stance.

Strengthening our inner aptitude and upgrading the “How we do What we do”, while restoring, rewiring and wholing - be it in organisational contexts or local or global endeavours - will be our core focus. It’s a journey into deep sensing, systemic awareness, and embodied practice addressing both root and consequences of the multilayered crisis we witness and are impacted by.

Behind the scenes: shifts in our team & Board

We want to take this opportunity to, once more, express our deep and heartfelt gratitude to Nancy Zam and her co-creation and co-leadership of Collective Transitions, and the shared journey that she and Luea have been engaged in over the past years. This phase has come to a conscious closing at the end of 2024 and early 2025, and so Collective Transitions navigated the past months through its own transitional movements. Nancy Zam remains, of course, an important member of the network and community, with further potential collaboration endeavours such as the book chapter in the freshly published Springer book: “Imagining, Designing and Teaching Regenerative Futures: Art-Science Approaches and Inspirations From Around the World” (2025). See further below!

Since this saying goodbye in the former roles, which also included the closing of the LLC based in the USA, new movements have been emerging. Here is a snapshot:

In April 2025, we founded the Collective Transitions association and are now an official and legal non-for-profit entity based in Switzerland. Our new board members — Felix Oesch, Andrea Klepsch and Ursina von Albertini — bring heart, experience, and strategic guidance. 

For supporting the next phase of Collective Transitions, Natalie von Tscharner has joined as Project Manager and sparring partner to Luea, Her presence and support is a great gift and we look forward what else may sprout out of that.

For now, our focus lays on reconnecting with you all, further stabilize the work for this new phase, crafting content for and sharing the upcoming courses and invitations to join us, and activating our communication channels again. This leads us to ...

Contribution to the newly published Springer book….

Under the dedicated curatorship of Julia Bentz and Jelena Ristić Trajković, the vision of a book on “Imagining, Designing and Teaching Regenerative Futures: Art-Science Approaches and Inspirations From Around the World” came into being. A huge celebration, especially for the two of them, and all the 120 contributors making this a juicy, intriguing, and inspiring reality, sharing 65 creative methods

Luea, Justus and Nancy Zam wrote a chapter on Systems Sensing as an Approach to explore regenerative futures through an embodied practice.
